Dave Bautista Appears in New Mortal Kombat 1 Trailer “It’s In Our Blood”

Mortal Kombat 1 gets a live-action launch trailer ahead of its anticipated release this month, called “It’s In Our Blood,”, paying homage to the classic “Mortal Monday” commercial that appeared in 1993.

In the reimagining of the iconic TV ad, Dave Bautista stars as a homage to Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat 1, who has created a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe, bringing together champions from across the realms to fight and protect his vision, as he (Bautista) amasses people from across a city to play the new Mortal Kombat and unleash the “force hidden in all of us”.

The latest instalment in the praised arcade fighting videogame franchise developed by the talented NetherRealm Studios introduces brand-new lore as well as reinventing the iconic heroes and villains that we all know and love. Each fighter will contain their own original backstories in this exciting second reboot.

Mortal Kombat 1 will have a line-up of recognisable and recurring fighters, including Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, Johnny Cage, and more, as well as a separate roster of brand-new Kameo Fighters who can assist you during matches. Additional fighters: Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda, alongside guest fighters: Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander will join the rouges’ gallery of villains in the post-launch DLC, Kombat Pack.

The Kombat Pack can be purchased separately when released sometime in Spring 2024. Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition and Kollector’s Edition owners will already have access to it when the pack launches. All Mortal Kombat 1 pre-orders will receive Shang Tsung as an in-game playable character from day one.

Mortal Kombat 1 will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam & Epic Games Store) on 19 Sept.
