Date Announced for The Crew Closed Beta

Ubisoft has announced that due to popular demand, they will be opening up the closed beta for their upcoming racer The Crew in just a few days time. The Crew is an online action-racing game that focuses on team work. You join up with friends in mission based gameplay to run races, pull off heists and outrun the police. Set in huge open areas across various locations across the United States, the game includes urban areas and open country allowing for both tight urban races and off road chases.

The Crew was announced last year and Ubisoft has said that since then they have received a large amount of messages from players eager to get the hands on the game. Because of this popularity they are 'opening' up the closed beta from the 21st until the 25th July but will be open for PC users only at this stage. The closed beta will be a reduced version of the full game, as expected, but will still feature 2 major areas, 5 major cities and 6,200 miles of in game roads so even cut down as it is, this will be a sizeable beta. The Crew is expected to release in mid November of this year for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
