Dark Souls II Physical PC Release Delayed in UK
Namco Bandai Games has confirmed that physical copies of Dark Souls II for the PC, which were set to release alongside digital copies on April 25, will be delayed until May 2 in the UK.
The delay is the result of manufacturing issue with the packaging, according to Namco Bandai, and will only affect the UK release. Other regions will receive Dark Souls II on the previously announced launch date. Namco Bandai has not provided any details on what the manufacturing issue was, and why it only affects the UK, but they are adamant that the issue is only affecting the boxed release of the game, and digital copies should still be available.
However, a representative of the retailer GameKeysNow added over twitter that the site, which specialises in digital copies of video games, has apparently confirmed that the delay will affect the Steam release as well.
Players first got wind of the delay through Amazon UK, who began emailing customers who had pre-ordered Dark Souls II yesterday informing them of the delay; currently, Amazon UK has no listed release date for the game.
