Curse of the Dead Gods is Getting a Free Dead Cells-Inspired Update
Passtech Games has announced that its roguelike dungeon crawler Curse of the Dead Gods will be crossing over with indie darling Dead Cells in the game's next free update. Releasing on the 14th April, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, the "Curse of the Dead Cells" update will bring a number of Dead Cells-themed items and additions to Curse of the Dead Gods.
First of all, the update will add a new curse to the game, "Curse of the Headless". This will give the protagonist an appearance akin to Dead Cells' own headless hero; it will also increase player movement speed and make them more vulnerable to damage. Additionally, three new weapons will be added to the game, directly paralleling weapons available in Dead Cells: Sword of Conjunctivius, the Broadsword of the Knight and the Crossbow of the Condemned. Finally, a new Challenge Room will be added to the game, with a reward chest similar to the ones found in Dead Cells.
It's not all Dead Cells in this update, though. Players can also look forward to another new curse and an all-new two-handed weapon style. Expect more news regarding these features in the near future.
The Dead Cells-inspired update for Curse of the Dead Gods launches on the 14th April for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
