Cross-Play Coming to Black Desert on Consoles
Rejoice for the continued breakdown of inter-platform barriers! Black Desert is the next game to enable cross-play, at least between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One that is. From 8th March, cross-play servers will open up that connect the two platforms and unite its playerbases.
In addition, the Archer character class and Kamasylvia region (previously only on Xbox One) will be coming to PlayStation 4 alongside this cross-play update.
As if there wasn't already enough good news for Black Desert players, a series of in-game events will also take place in celebration of the merging communities. Players taking part will receive a number of rewards, including 'Cliff' and 'Awakening' weapon boxes.
For anyone cautious about taking the plunge on Black Desert, sales on each platform's digital store have also just begun, letting players purchase the game and in-game currency (Pearls) at a discount.
The cross-play update will launch for Black Desert on 8th March for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
