Cross-Play Comes to Insurgency: Sandstorm — Full Details Inside
New World Interactive and Focus Entertainment's tactical first-person shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm has received a significant update, bringing with it a highly requested feature to the title. With the Operation: Resurgence free content update, players will be able to take part in free new features, which will be a much-needed addition for fans of the title.
First, let's talk about the biggest change: Global Crossplay. PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players will now be able to queue up together. This will be available across the Versus and Cooperative modes, giving you a new set of opponents and allies to fight against and with.
To celebrate this release, the Skirmish game mode has been brought into the limited-time pool once again. Capture enemy objectives, destroy the weapon cache, and partake in highly tactical matches — this time, with players from different ecosystems!
This also comes with three new assault rifles that are being added for free. The full list includes the tactical WCX rifle for Security, the Italian AR-7090 for Insurgents, and F2000 bullpup rifle available for both teams! New weapons mean new tactical opportunities... and possibly a new favourite armament to take into your matches.
Finally, there is going to be a free cosmetic DLC for each faction! There are two new skins for both of the factions, as Security will get the Pockets weapon skin set and the Survivor gear set, while the Insurgents will be able to acquire the National pride skin and the Revolt gear set!
The Operation: Resurgence update for Insurgency: Sandstorm has officially arrived! Start the battle today.
