Creative Assembly Announces New Total War Spin-Off Series

News coming in on the Total War front says that Creative Assembly has announced the creation of a new line of historical war games titled A Total War Saga.

Running in the same vein as spin-off titles like Fall of the Samurai from Total War Shogun II, A Total War Saga games will focus on specific historical periods and geographical regions within the Total War historical game lineup. These include things like uprisings, civil wars, and other points of interest in the timelines covered by Total War Rome II and Total War Attila, which are the titles the first installment will reportedly be based off of. Fans of the franchise can expect the first game under the A Total War Saga banner to arrive some time before the next major addition to Total War's historical series.
