Counterplay Games Releases Free Duelyst Source Code

Duelyst, a well-loved competitive strategy game with tactical combat, closed its servers on the 27th of February 2020, and since then, it has inspired the creation of many games and projects. As a way to support aspiring developers, whether they are small teams or sole individuals, Counterplay Games has decided to release the source code from Duelyst on GitHub.

The source code is free and “there are no strings attached”, according to Richard “JuveyD” Heyne, lead producer of Counterplay Games. Developers can use this code to create their own turn-based strategies and utilise game assets in their projects. Early projects are already forming, and if you’d like to keep up with the community, consider joining the OpenDuelyst Discord server.
