Close Combat Returns to the Fray Thanks to GOG

Revered World War II tactical combat game Close Combat II and its sequels are now available for purchase digitally thanks to GOG and to celebrate they're offering discounts off the regular prices for a limited time.

Released back in 1996 by Microsoft, Atomic Games' Close Combat series broke ground with how it attempted to mimic soldier morale as it placed you in tense tactical situations. The real-time tactical nature of the game was unique and proved successful as the series has since ballooned to sixteen entries, soon to be 17 with a new entry due later this year, Close Combat: The Bloody First.

The initial batch of entries including Close Combat II - IV along with Panther in the Fog and Gateway to Caen tease the rest of the series coming to GOG.
