Circadian City to Launch on Steam Early Access
Nowhere Studios must be a cynical bunch. The team's upcoming life simulator, Circadian City, looks to do away with the happy-go-lucky attitude of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley in favour of a "life's a bitch and then you die" sort of attitude. Coming to Steam Early Access on 24th September 2020, Circadian City's alpha will give players a taste of life fighting against the ever-present pressures of daily life—with a peculiar night-time twist. Check out the 'Alpha Gameplay Trailer' above.
During the day, players will eat, drink, (attempt to) make friends and develop their interests—pretty standard stuff, right? It's at night, though, that Circadian City sets itself apart from other games of its ilk. When your character's head hits that pillow at night, they're whisked away to a strange dream world with strange contraptions, mysterious encounters, outlandish characters and opportunities to make a real impact on your waking life. The dual nature of Circadian City looks to be its major defining trait; it'll be interesting to see how it pans out once the game has fully released.
Circadian City launches on Steam Early Access on the 24th September; a Switch release is also planned for Q3 2021 (alongside the PC version's 1.0 release).
