Celebrate 100 Million Pokémon Trades with Exclusive Patterned Vivillon
It's been roughly seven months since the release of Pokémon X & Y on the Nintendo 3DS and it seems that players out there are still trying to catch them all as Nintendo has revealed that in celebration of 100 million trades on the Global Trade Station they will be releasing an exclusively patterned Vivillon; the 'Fancy Pattern Vivillon'.
In Pokémon X & Y Vivillions are particularly sought after as their colouration is dependent on the player's real world location, with the pattern on their wings changing from nation to nation. The Fancy Pattern Vivillon will be an exclusive, event only Pokémon.
Nintendo has yet to announce when the event will take place, as the current tally of global trades is only roughly around 90 million, but the official pokémon website will be updated with news Xregarding the 'mon once the momentous milestone is reached.
Pokémon X & Y were released in October last year and to date have sold over 12 million copies world wide. Nintendo are following X & Y with remakes of Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire that are due for international release this November and will make use of X & Y's 3D engine.
