Cartel Tycoon Launches in Early Access
Drug empire management sim Cartel Tycoon has launched in Early Access for PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and through GOG's "Games in Development" scheme. Developer Moon Moose states that the current build of the game contains 10-20 hours of Story Mode content and a replayable Sandbox mode. The full release, which will include a hardcore 'Survival' Sandbox mode, is planned for Q3 2021.
Cartel Tycoon will see players managing their drug empire in a fictional '80s Latin American nation. They'll have to grow their business, watch our for competitors and stay one step ahead of the law, all while attempting to garner the love of the people. There are a lot of plates to spin. Thankfully, with a dynamic protagonist system, the near-inevitable demise of your protagonist (the Capo), doesn't spell Game Over. Death merely means that one of your loyal lieutenants takes over the leadership (and protagonist) role.
Check out the Early Access trailer above for an overview of these mechanics in action.
