Caravan SandWitch Releasing September; Check Out The Release Window Trailer Here!

Plane Toast the developer behind Caravan SandWitch and publishers, Dear Villagers, have announced that their aforementioned semi-open-world exploration adventure will be coming out in September! After receiving overwhelming support following its showcase at Steam Next Fest and Wholesome Games, Plane Toast is delighted that so many people have supported their upcoming indie title.

If you're not familiar with Caravan SandWitch, then let's give you a quick rundown of what you can expect. Imagine a sci-fi, Provence-like world, where you're on a journey to uncover the mysteries of Cigalo and find your missing sister. The founders of Plane Toast were originally from Provence, and so the cosy landscapes, hopeful settings, and environmental themes have been heavily inspired by their own childhood experiences.

Unlike other post-apocalyptic games, Caravan SandWitch is full of hope. Travel Cigalo in your van, filled with essential tools that allow you to uncover ancient ruins, while also in search of your sister. Not only will you discover the past, but you'll also uncover the effect that humans have had on Cigalo, and meet the Reinetos, an aboriginal species who live there, and the Robots who were left behind when most humans left the planet to find another; of course, there are other humans who still live there. Not to forget, the SandWitch, who also calls Cigalo home.

All these people make up a diverse cast, and it will allow you to understand the community, and contribute to making a harmonic home. No one will feel left out, as Plane Toast has worked hard to include a community with real representation, so everyone will find something to relate to. There are also accessibility options, perfect to ensure that everyone can enjoy the game with ease.

If you'd like to get more into the atmosphere of Caravan SandWitch, then consider listening to "Pensée Dérobée" by Antynomy, which is a main feature of the game's soundtrack. It's now available on all streaming platforms, so you can enjoy the music while waiting for the release date.

Caravan SandWitch is expected to release in September on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store. So keep an eye out for updates on when to expect it to be released!
