Captain Tsubasa Launch Trailer

Today at gamescom we were shown some gameplay of Captain Tsubasa which seems like a mix of Street Fighter and the latest FIFA. The gameplay started off by showing us creating our own team lineup complete with goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and attackers.

The gameplay starts off like a relatively normal football match until, when dribbling the ball across midfield the player got absolutely bodied, but unlike FIFA and PES, there is no referee in this game and the ball just kept going. This is where the mix of Street Fighter really starts to show. When trying to take a shot on goal the game goes into a really cool anime like cutscene which reminded me a lot of Dragon Ball Z which shows how your striker really puts their foot into the ball and how the keeper uses all of their energy to save the shot.

Captain Tsubasa is out now on PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
