Capes Reveals a New Hero Trailer for Rebound, the Shadow-powered Teleporter

A new character trailer for Capes, the tactical superhero game coming May 2024 from developer Spitfire Interactive and publisher Daedalic Entertainment, has shown off another of the heroes aiming to save King City from the victorious villains.

The new trailer showcases Rebound, a “master of manoeuvrability” who can easily teleport herself, or her teammates, across the battlefield. This allows her to move characters to new, advantageous positions or even out of harm's way.

The trailer also reveals some of the potential combo moves available with her powers. For instance, we see the psychic hero Mindfire turning one enemy away and allowing Rebound to teleport forward and strike them in the rear.

This is the second character trailer we’ve seen for Capes, with the first being focused on the defensive hero Facet. So far, the game appears to want to draw in fans of the tactical genre and superhero fans, and it looks set to do both.

Players can build up their teams with up to four heroes with their own skills, abilities, and ultimates. For instance, the trailer showed off Rebounds Ultimate where she teleports and strikes several enemies in an instant. However,  spamming super moves won't get you far and players need to learn which heroes are best suited to which situations. It will be no easy task to bring down the hordes of villains who have taken over the city.

Capes will launch in May 2024 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The concrete release date will be announced very soon!
