Capcom bring Dead Rising 2 and Resident Evil 5 to Steamworks
Good news for all who love headshotting zombies and surviving the apocalypse Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising 2 as well as it’s standalone expansion Off the Record are getting full Steamworks integration.
While these games aren’t new and are already available on Steam, they've been hampered with the dreaded Games For Windows Live integration from Microsoft. If you’ve played a game using GFWL on PC then you’ll know it’s a bit a nuisance when it comes to game saving and account management. Microsoft's lack of support for GFWL nowadays have lead to many developers dropping the service in favor of Steamworks; which included Fallout 3, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Street Fighter IV.
So with that news look forward to Dead Rising 2 and Resident Evil 5 to Steamworks early next year. If you already own them on PC your copy will automatically become a Steamworks title when Capcom makes the change.
