Call of Duty: Ghosts Devastation DLC Release Date for PlayStation, PC

Activision has announced the PlayStation and PC release date for the Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Devastation, which launched on Xbox 360 and Xbox One last week.

Devastation is set to see PlayStation 3, PC and PlayStation 4 release on May 8, according to developer, a little over a month after Xbox. This gap is standard for Call of Duty games and their DLC, as Activision has a pre-existing agreement with Microsoft to release franchise content on Xbox first.

The DLC includes a new weapon, a mission in the Extinction campaign and four new multiplayer maps - a Mayan temple in Central America (Ruins, which features a cameo of Predator), an excavation site (Behemoth),  a crashed container ship in New York (Collision) and a South American meteor excavation site (Unearthed).

The new Extinction mission puts players on board a Chinese ship where they're attempting to rescue a captured Dr. Samantha Cross, and will encounter two new Cryptid species. Devastation also gives players the Ripper, which is an SMG/assault rifle hybrid. The DLC has received generally positive, although not exactly glowing, reviews, with most reviewers feeling it hasn't really broken from the standard mould of Call of Duty  DLC.

After being told dragontamer is "not a real job", she settled for being a word typer-upper. Finally got those San Diego Comic Con tickets.
