So should you shell out for the service, anything that an opponent steals from you is immediately replaced. As for pricing, it gets a bit confusing due to you paying with Mother Base coins. If you were to buy 1,150 MB coins, you would spend £8. Two weeks of FOB insurance costs 300 coins, so you're paying around £2 for a fortnight. 

It sounds like a late April fools joke, but unfortunately it's not. The insurance was added in the latest update from October 6th, so it's available to purchase now. If that's your thing.
