British Tanks Coming to War Thunder Soon™

Gaijin Entertainment has revealed the next big War Thunder update they've been working on: A British tank tree for Ground Forces!

War Thunder's ground forces component is relatively new compared to the air war side, with three tank trees at the moment (Soviet, German and from a while back, American). With the American tree receiving its range of vehicles wit the introduction of the tank destroyer line, the development team has its attention on the British tanks.

Although no release date has been set yet, there's a sneak preview of a few tanks, showcasing the diversity the British tanks could bring into War Thunder Ground Forces.

First up is the Comet cruiser tank, or fast tank designed to operate independently of infantry formations and slower infantry tanks. Relatively well-armed with a 17pdr cannon, this should be one of the more devastating ones on the battlefield in Tier III and IV.

Next, we have the Churchill infantry tank, with loads of armor but a mediocre gun. We could see new dynamics and tactics developed with the introduction of infantry tanks such as these into the game.

Lastly, we see a late-WWII development of the Centurion at Tier IV, armed with a 83.8mm cannon based off the German 88 mm KwK.43 that can fire sabot rounds.

The addition of the British tanks should be an interesting one, improving the vehicle selection and variety by quite a bit. No other word yet on the next big update yet, although we will update this as soon as we know more about the upcoming developments!
