Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Goes Gold

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has officially finished production and is ready to hit store shelves according to Gearbox President Randy Pitchford. The news comes from his Twitter page with him stating "Borderlands: The Pre Sequel is GOLD on all platforms! Launches Oct 14th in North America, Oct. 17 worldwide." 

The game is set on Elpis, the moon of Pandora and sees four new playable characters including everyone's favourite robot Claptrap. New gameplay mechanics include low gravity which aids players in exploration and combat, oxygen which allows you to perform a slam attack and new weapon types. The story follows the rise of Handsome Jack the main antagonist in Borderlands 2 providing insight on his back story and rise to power.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is set to release on October 14th in North America and October 17th worldwide, the game will be available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
