Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Announced

2K and Gearbox Software have officially announced the arrival of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as part of the Handsome Collection.  

The collection will not only contain both games; it'll also include all released downloadable content together packaged nicely for £49.99, which according to 2K is a saving of over £180 compared to last gen release. 

Of course with each new "remastered" release from many developers these days, it isn't just about repacking it and reselling, it's about taking advantage of the power of new generation of consoles for a better experience, for all those who either missed it last gen or for those wanting to jump back in on their shiny new console.

With all that said this upcoming Borderlands: Handsome Collection, which is scheduled to release on March 27th, 2015. Will have higher performance (running at 1080p, up to 60fps) and better graphical fidelity. And for the first time to series both games will feature 4-player split screen, so you can shoot and loot from a single TV. Also, both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will support Cross-Save, meaning that if you've got a save from Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 (or PS Vita) you can transfer all your progress to this new edition (as long as it's within the same console family)
