Bombshell Released On PC, Coming To Consoles Soon
3D Realms and Interceptor Entertainment released their isometric ARPG Bombshell this past Friday, and we have also learned the game will be coming soon to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Bombshell is the nickname of bomb disposal technician Shelly Harrison, the leading lady that players will take on in the game. She is tasked to rescue the president and the galaxy across four planets from aliens threatening to wipe out humanity.
Bombshell was first seen under the title Duke Nukem: Survivor then renamed Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction in 2014. That was until Gearbox Software took the publisher and developer to court, stating they owned the Duke Nukem franchise outright. They eventually settled out of court. During this past E3 in 2015, 3D Realms re-revealed the game under the current name.
Once the game had been released this week, one fan posted on 3D Realms asking the question of "Where the console version was", since at the time the publisher unveiled Bombshell, claiming it was being developed for both the consoles and PC. Joe Siegler, the company's Community Manager confirmed that the game is under development for both consoles, but no definitive date of when they will be available, stating "...The console version isn't done yet. Will be soon, but no date is available yet."
