Blue Estate Launch Trailer

Blue Estate, the black comedy, rail shooter launches on the PlayStation 4 today and is available from the US PlayStation Store with a launch trailer to celebrate

Blue Estate plays much like the old House of the Dead or Time Crisis games but instead using the DualShock 4 controller as a lightgun style control device, according to the developers the DualShock is a lot more responsive than the PlayStation Move motion controller, hence its use.

The game's story is based on events from the graphic novel series;

...about the fall of Tony Luciano - the one and only son of L.A. mob boss Don Luciano, and the rise of Clarence - a dishonorably discharged Navy SEAL looking for a fresh start. Tony starts a war with the Sik Brother gang after Cherry Popz has been kidnapped. The war runs out of control when Eastern European mobsters steal a 1 million$ ransom that was to serve as exchange money for Blue Estate, Tony's father favorite racing horse. Clarence is called on the field to close the case.

As mentioned, the game is available from the US PS Store for $19.99, while PS Plus subscribers will recieve a 20% discount.

An Xbox One version that uses the Kinect system for motion based aiming has been confirmed, but a released date has yet to be announced.
