Blizzcon17: StarCraft 2 is Going Free to Play
One of the biggest announcements at this years Blizzcon is that StarCraft 2 is making the jump to free-to-play.
The hit game will be opening its doors to allow for new players to jump into the game like never before. With the move to free-to-play Blizzard are offering the entire Wings of Liberty campaign, the first of three, for free. If you already own this campaign then don't worry because you will receive the second one, Heart of the Swarm for no additional cost.
StarCraft 2 free-to-play will also include the legendary online versus mode allowing players to experience the complete online game. After winning a set number of matches in either unranked or versus mode players will then be able to join the ranked ladder and start their journey to the top. As co-op mode players will have access to all commanders up to level five.
StarCraft 2 free to play will release on 14th November, 2017.
