Blizzard's Starcraft II Arcade Is Now Free

Blizzard have revamped and relaunched the Blizzard Arcade website and its all free. It contains the latest information relating to games, game development, and other works made using the StarCraft II editor.

The Starcraft II editor puts Blizzards development tools in your hands. When you install the free StarCraft II Starter Edition, you also get the Editor (there's a shortcut in your Start menu). Fire it up, make your own maps and mods, and share them with the world via Battle.net. You need a copy of Starcraft II if you wish to share your creations but the development kit is entirely free.

The website offers tutorials on how to get the most out of the editor as well as pages of ideas, guidance and advice in the community designer forums.

Blizzard have suggested this is just the start of developing a community of modders, developers and gamers working together to produce glorious results.
