Blizzard cancels its next-gen MMO Titan
Blizzard has officially announced that it has cancelled development on their next-gen MMO Titan, telling Polygon that it wasn't the game they wanted to be making. Blizzard co-founder and CEO Mike Morhaime announced the news and whilst the game was never officially revealed, the company were never secretive about the games development. Here is a statement from Mike Morhaime about the game:
"We didn't find the fun," Morhaime continued. "We didn't find the passion. We talked about how we put it through a reevaluation period, and actually, what we reevaluated is whether that's the game we really wanted to be making. The answer is no."
Whilst it is sad to hear about the games cancellation, it's a revelation that the game wasn't forced to completion after 7 years in development. A joyless game would have been disheartening to see from Blizzard and here's hoping they find solid ground with the game sometime in the future.
