BioShock Director Announces New Game for PC and Xbox One
For those of us who have been waiting for something from BioShock director Kevin Levine, the day has finally come. He and Irrational Games co-founder Jonathan Chey have teamed up to give us a strategy shooter inspired not just by BioShock but also by one of the titles that lead to BioShock’s existence, System Shock 2. With those as the building blocks, expectations will be high for this new title: Void Bastards.
Void Bastards is a “revolutionary new strategy-shooter” according to the press release. You will be in charge of a group of misfit prisoners on a ship known as the Void Ark through the Sargasso Nebula. This won’t be an easy journey either, as you travel through a bit of a spaceship graveyard with infinite dangers.
If the graveyard full of unknown threats doesn’t sound challenging enough, then perhaps a note from the devs will help up the ante. This isn’t just another shooter, which of course there’s more to it than that. It is from the people that brought us BioShock and System Shock 2 after all. No, this strategy-shooter will challenge your skill and your wits. You will need to be on top of your game with your aim in this one. As the head of the Void Ark, you must make the best decisions to keep your fellow passengers, criminal or not, through safely. What if you pick the wrong move? The wrong fight? Be on your toes and ready for anything as Void Bastards will expect you already are!
