Beyond Eyes Developer Ends Agreement with Team17, Leaves Game Development
The developer of the critically acclaimed walking simulator Beyond Eyes has announced via Twitter that they have decided to stop developing videogames.
They actually stopped almost a year ago, amid mental health concerns, and began a business creating vegan food products. Their next videogame, titled Trails of Life, will not be released as a game, but as a novel next year.
Of course, this likely tied into their decision to not renew the publishing agreement with Team17 for Beyond Eyes, and so it will shortly no longer be on sale.
This is likely not the whole story, however, as they tweeted that the experience of working with Team17 was not a pleasurable one.
In other news, I have decided to not renew my publishing agreement for Beyond Eyes with Team17 which is about to expire, meaning the game won't be available after.

I wish I could say it was a pleasure working with them but it would be a lie
Beyond Eyes is currently still on sale for Steam, PlayStation 4, iOS and Xbox One/X|S.
