Bethesda Tease Elder Scrolls Online Console Version
According to ZeniMax Online Studios, the developers of The Elder Scrolls Online, the development of the console version is still slow but it's happening.
On a blog post by the developers, they said some rather interesting information regarding the release of console editions:
"We have been (and will continue to be) steadily working on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of ESO,"
"They are playable and fun right now, but there's still some work to do before we can set an official launch date."
"It's also important to note that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of ESO are not just ports of the PC/Mac game,"
"We have completely replaced the PC user interface with a console-specific UI designed from the ground-up with a controller and a living room play experience in mind."
"We've also added voice chat and full integration with XBL and PSN. Expect to see lots of news about our console versions in early 2015."
The original versions of the game on PC and Mac have had a hectic year from the gaming community but since the initial release, the game has expanded greatly. The release for console versions have been set back since June last year, which they anticipated it to be completed by then, of which we are now expecting release "early 2015."
