Bethesda Talks Fallout 4 Free Updates & Paid DLC

Bethesda Talks Fallout 4 Free Updates & Paid DLC

Fallout 4 will be set to feature regular updates for the low, low price of free, Bethesda announced today.

Following on from the model started by Skyrim, which intermittently introduced features like horseback combat, graphical updates, and kill cams, Fallout 4 will feature staggered updates that will act as both patches and new parts to the game, coming at no extra cost to players.

One such freebie announced for fans was the Creation Kit for the PC version, which will allow players to create and share their own mods for Fallout 4. Bethesda stress that this tool is the same kind used in their own studio.

Also announced was their plan for paid DLC, discussing their intentions of introducing a $30 Season Pass. No actual DLC was announced as the developers are “still hard at work on the game”, but was promised to start appearing early next year.

Nice, will be grabbing the season pass myself, always good value in Bethesda DLC.

I'm really glad they didn't announce any content for the Season Pass. Look at Deus Ex - they've literally removed a complete mission from the main game, just to sell it as a pre-order extra.

Good guy Bethesda.
