Battlezone 98 Remake Coming Soon

As one of the first Arcade Games to feature VR (of sorts), Battlezone is possibly as relevant in 2016 with the Oculus Rift coming as it's ever been. So it's not a huge surprise to see a remake coming from Rebellion, who bought the rights from Atari last year. As well as working on a remake of the original (with VR support), they have announced a remake of the 1998 shooter and strategy hybrid. Battlezone 98 Redux is set to arrive on the PC in the Spring. 

Battlezone 98 Redux keeps the core rush of first-person action and RTS gameplay that earned widespread critical acclaim, and blends it with remastered visuals, online multiplayer and the potential for near limitless new content with support for Steam Workshop mods. It's also being developed by many of the original devs from the first remake in 1998. Checkout the trailer above for details of beta registration.
