Battlefield 4 Expansions on Hold
Sorry Battlefield fans, but it looks like you'll have to wait a little longer than expected for those new expansions.
In a statement made to Polygon, a spokesperson from EA stated that whilst the developer DICE fixes issues that have plagued Battlefield 4 since launch, all of the planned expansions have been put on hold.
We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game - it is absolutely our No. 1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week, but we're not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4.
Fans have complained since launch about the crashes, freezing and other problems which have hampered gameplay. When the China Rising expansion was released on Tuesday, players reported about the usual technical hiccups, as well as being unable to connect to the game servers.
Battlefield 4 players are being advised to visit the Battlefield 4 Control Room website, which will update fans about the status of the game.
