Battleborn Fans Start Official Day for the Game

Fans of Battleborn have been congregating on Reddit to garner for support for the game, which has been slowing down a little since launch. They have decreed that the 12th of November is "Battleborn Day", a day to play the Overwatch clone truly original shooter from the developers of Borderlands.

Redditor Vahmose, instrumental to the idea behind the day, said of his plans: “After seeing the Battleborn Day post by bkndx, I immediately fell in love with the idea. The game has been a source of some pretty badass and hilarious moments for my friends and this was a great opportunity to show others how much fun a trip to Solus can be.”

Vahmose and friends have also created a group of friendly faces known as the BattleBros. This is essentially a mentoring type programme, with veterans of the game offering help to new and returning players, or just those who want to lean a bit more about how to play. Help is given to players via Reddit.

“Initially it was just us goofing around, but as we played, I started adding other players that were obviously new to Battleborn's unique mechanics. We showed them the ropes and offered any advice we could. It was awesome seeing their progress and a lot of them play better than I do now! They appreciated the help and offered to pass on what they had learned to other new players they came across. I decided to make a few posts online and see if anyone wanted to help others like we had. Now we have little BattleBros 'Helper' groups on each of the game's platforms.”

The event now has the official backing of the developers and is being officially sanctioned. Between 2PM PT on the 11th of November and 8AM PT on the 13h, a host of special features will be in-game for all players. As well as double XP during the event, double credits, and a play with the devs event, players can look forward to a temporary unlocking of all characters, 20% off skins and a special "Battleborn Day Queue".
