Batman Arkham Knight Will Not Get Multi-GPU Support
If Batman: Arkham Knight was a dog, it would probably have been put to sleep by now. It's a game that has been absolutely plagued with issues since its release. Many players have been complaining that it's simply unplayable. It's been recalled from retailers and pulled from the Steam store, only to reappear in a state still not up to scratch and the publisher has even gone as far as to offer "no questions asked" refunds to all players.
There's a further disappointment now for fans of the Dark Knight as it's been revealed that that game will not be tweaked to take advantage or SLI or Crossfire based multi-GPU setups after all. This was a feature that was previously expected to be patched in later, but on their steam community forum, Warner Bros. stated that they won't be pursuing it:
"We’ve been working with our development and graphics driver partners over the last few months to investigate utilizing multi-GPU support within Batman: Arkham Knight. The result was that even the best case estimates for performance improvements turned out to be relatively small given the high risk of creating new issues for all players. As a result we’ve had to make the difficult decision to stop work on further multi-GPU support. We are disappointed that this was not practical and apologize to those who have been waiting for this feature."
