Batman: Arkham Knight New Images Released

After waiting all month for some non-blanked out images of the titular Arkham Knight, Rocksteady Studios have released them, giving us a first look at this brand new character.

Unseen in comic books, even by name, the Arkham Knight appears to sport metal armour and a cybernetic helmet. Although there are some minor similarities to the Insider Suit that Bruce Wayne wore for a short time following the Return Of Bruce Wayne comic book miniseries in 2010, it does not appear to be related.

More details come in the form of tweaks and improvements to the fighting mechanics. There will be new moves and something called Fear Takedowns.  This will allow Batman to raise the level of criminal's (a superstitious and cowardly lot) fear before easily taking out a room full of them.  They are also implementing the ability to use gadgets whilst gliding, something that was sorely lacking previously.

Finally, the reason for the Batmobile being included is that we will finally have the entire of Gotham City to fight crime in.  That will mean a bigger play area than the previous games, however there is no indication to how big that actually is.
