Back in 1995 Coming to Steam This Month
1995 was an interesting year. It was the year that Richey James Edwards was last seen and Die Hard with a Venegance was released. We saw the arrest of Nick Leeson, the sentencing of Rosemary West and the sad passing of Dean Martin on Christmas day. It was also the year that Sega released the Saturn and Sony released the Playstation, and it is those consoles that Back in 1995 takes a great deal of its inspiration from.
Created as a nod to the survival horror games of the era, Back in 1995 is an unashamedly retro experience. With CRT emulation and fixed camera angles, it's designed to evoke that same feeling of claustrophobia that those early survival horror games did. Created by Throw the Warped Code out, a Japanese indie developer, the game is an intentionally low-res horror game and will be released on Steam on the 28th April. Check out the Trailer above to get a feel of what to expect when it comes at the end of the month.
