Awesome Games Done Quick Breaks 2015 Record
Awesome Games Done Quick came to a close this weekend with a ground breaking new record: over $2.2 million raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation! This shattered the previous record, set in 2015, of $1.5 million.
What's even more impressive is that half of that amount was raised in a single day! This means that the gaming community was able to raise over $1 million in 24 hours.
Awesome Games Done Quick, or AGDQ as it's more commonly known, is a bi-annual charity event that raises money for charity. For an entire week the Twitch channel streams non-stop speedruns of all kinds of games on every system imaginable. The winter event, known as simply AGDQ, benefits the Prevent Cancer Foundation and the summer event, known as Summer Games Done Quick or SGDQ, benefits Doctors Without Borders.
The next Games Done Quick event, Summer Games Done Quick 2017, is scheduled to take place from the 2nd until the 9th of July in Minneapolis.

I approve! Great fun watching games I spent hours on being obliterated so quickly.

Always a fun time... nothing like watching games you love get beaten in a fraction of the time it took you originally! Especially when they are hard as nails!
