Atari Asteroids: Outpost Launches

Atari has today announced Early Access availability for the sandbox, open world, multiplayer shooter, Asteroids: Outpost.

A dramatic reboot of the 1979 arcade classic, Asteroids: Outpost is set in the distant future, and updates the asteroid-blasting action of the original by putting players in the role of deep-space miners, harvesting rare ore and expanding their bases, while protecting themselves from deadly asteroid showers and claim jumpers.

As well as being available through Early Access, Asteroids: Outpost will be discounted by 34% to commemorate the 1979 arcade release of its arcade predecessor.
