ASUS Unveils the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED in Thincredible Launch Event

ASUS' Thincredible Launch Event has concluded, and it featured the brand-new ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED, the newest in a long lineup of light and compact laptops.

If you're the type of person that travels around a lot, this new laptop might be right up your alley. Weighing only one kilogram and a centimetre thick, this device is compact enough to fit pretty much anywhere, light enough to be carried with one hand, and perfect for those that use laptops on the go.

Spec-wise, the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED will sport a 13th-generation processor and IRISx graphics by Intel. Additionally, you can also get up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 5200 MHz onboard memory and 1TB of space.

Though, most impressive, is the laptop's display. As the name suggests, this Lumina 16:10 OLED panel sports a 2880x1800 resolution that is sure to stun you. With a peak brightness of 550 nits, a colour-accurate display setting, and various others to choose from and customise, you can make your laptop look as good as you want it.

Compact laptops are famous for cutting corners to reach these levels, though ASUS' showcase promises that none were taken. The laptop comes with all of the ports you'd traditionally need, including an HDMI 2.1 port, two Thunderbolt ports, and an audio jack, cutting no corners in the technical design.

And for the environmentally friendly folk out there, the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED is built with mostly recycled materials and is very friendly to Earth; the production takes less energy, and the chassis looks impressive. This was an especially important point highlighted at event.

Whether all of these promising features meet up to the expectations set by the Thincredible Launch Event, we'll have to wait until we can get our hands on one and test it properly.
