Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Ostara Season Springs to Life With a Festival and New Gameplay Features
Season two, Ostara Season, has begun for Assassin's Creed Valhalla on all platforms, marking the start of a series of free updates for the already expansive Viking-themed epic.
The first update in this series, available on all platforms until the 8th April, welcomes spring with an in-game Ostara (Easter) Festival. In addition to fighting, drinking and archery mini-games, the festival will open up a settlement decoration activity, three new unlockable skills, three new quests and exclusive customisation items. Check out the season's trailer above for a look at the festival itself.
To access the content, players must have reached England and completed either the Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire narrative arcs.
Separate from the Ostara celebration itself, the update also gives players the ability to change the appearance of items and outfits without impacting their stats. This 'transmogrify' ability will let players determine Eivor's style without sacrificing their most effective gear.
Two more free updates are planned as part of the Ostara season, including one which will add a "highly replayable combat experience". In addition, the Wrath of the Druids paid expansion is set to release on the 29th April, seeing Eivor track down and take on a mysterious cult steeped in Gaelic myth and folklore.
The first update of the Ostara season in Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now for Xbox Series X S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Stadia, Amazon Luna and Ubisoft’s subscription service.
