Assassin's Creed Valhalla Adds Free River Raid Game Mode

Ubisoft has released a free update for Assassin's Creed Valhalla as part of the current "Yule" season of in-game content. The main attraction of this update is the all-new River Raid game mode.

This re-playable, loot-driven game mode sees players setting out on a series of raids aboard a customisable, mode-exclusive longship. With a Jomsviking Crew in tow, players will take on a slew of increasingly difficult raiding locations, facing challenges and earning valuable loot in the process. If players desynchronise at any point during their "run", they'll forfeit all of the loot earned up until that point. If they succeed, however, they'll earn myriad rewards including upgrades for their crew, customisation options for the longship and character upgrades. The update also brings the new Saint George armour set and Great Sword; three new abilities, found in monasteries; two new settlement buildings; as well as more cosmetics for the longship and Eivor.
