Assassin's Creed: Syndicate Details

As well as the previously released reveal trailer, Ubisoft have stuck to tradition and released a cinematic trailer for upcoming Assassin's Creed endeavour, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.

The game takes place in 1868 in London, during the height of the industrial revolution and Queen Victoria's reign. Quelling the rumours, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will feature two playable characters, Jacob and Evie who will cross paths with the likes of Charles Dickins and Charles Darwin.

According to Ubisoft, Jacob will be "more hot headed, brash and rebellious"  while his twin sister Evie is described as "a relentless Assassin" and "a master of stealth" with the player being able to switch between the two at their discretion.

The story follows the twins move into the big city as they look to eradicate the poverty caused by the industrial revolution and the oppressive establishment behind it.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, according to a gameplay demo shown during the game's reveal, will be the first to feature a dedicated stealth button as well as environmental interaction that you can use to your advantage.

On top of this, there will be horse and carriages as well as trains which will make for interesting and varied combat throughout the city.

That's what we know so far. With more details expected to be announced in the coming weeks and months, we'll have it covered right here.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will release on PS4 and Xbox One on 23rd October with a date yet to be confirmed for the PC version.

I honestly liked 'Victory' better as a subtitle...

Yeah, but then they couldn't have a charismatic British thug as the protagonist.
