Anima: Gate of Memories Coming this June
After two successful Kickstarter campaigns and three years of toil from the small development team at Anima Project Studios, Anima Gate of Memories is set to release in June. The game is based on the Anima: Beyond Fantasy series of RPG books and is the second videogame incarnation of the universe, following the Wii release of Anima: Ark of Sinners in 2011. That game was rather poorly received but initial reports for this new title have been much more positive so far.
Anima: Gate of Memories is a third-person action RPG focused on combat and exploration. The game has a very deep and multifaceted story where every choice matters and actions directly impact each character’s outcome. As players travel through the tower of Arcane in the beautiful world of Gaia, they’ll join The Bearer and Ergo -- agents of an ancient society responsible for protecting humanity for centuries. Their goal? To recover an old artifact known as The Byblos.
The game will be released digitally on June 3, 2016 for Xbox One, Windows & Linux via Steam, and PS4. The exception is North American PS4 players who will have to wait a little longer until the 7th of June. The $19.99 priced title will also come in a physical edition for the PS4 in select territories.
