Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG Set New Records with Lost Ark

After being received positively by our reviewer, controversy from its Founder's Pack buyers, and criminally long queues, Lost Ark continues to shake the world as it has set new records for Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG.

Not only did Lost Ark breach the million concurrent players on Steam — a feat only accomplished by four other games, including Dota 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 — but it reached second most-played, just behind PUBG: Battlegrounds. Lost Ark also passed Amazon's recent well-received release New World by almost half a million concurrent players; the achievements don't stop there.

Lost Ark peaked at 1,325,305 concurrent players worldwide in less than 24 hours after its launch, which made it the highest-played game in 24 hours; furthermore, the number of players gave it the second highest-played game by concurrent players, and it is also Steam's most-played MMORPG ever. This is all following its successful head-start period to owners of the Founders Pack, as even then, Lost Ark reached 532,000 concurrent players.

The accolades for Lost Ark's launch are not limited to Steam only, as it had massive success on Twitch as well, with 1.2 million concurrent viewers, 59.9 million cumulative hours watched, and more than 112,000 total streams.

And last but not least, on the 14th of February, just three days after the game's launch, Lost Ark had over 4.7 million new registered players in the West. 55% of them came from the Americas, whilst the other 45% took residence in Europe.
