All Of The News Out Of The Pokémon Direct!
The latest Nintendo Direct took place this afternoon, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the series, with a focus on new Pokémon titles, Sun and Moon.
Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO and President of The Pokémon Company, led with a look back at Pokémon Red and Blue (now 20 years old, today!) and at the improvements with more modern releases like X and Y.
After a bright and cheery video of young children and adults battling their friends on various Nintendo handhelds, the announcement that, yes indeed, the leaked Pokémon Sun and Moon are a real thing will be releasing worldwide on the Nintendo 3DS later this year.
A nice added touch, Pokémon Sun and Moon will be playable in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese for the first time.
They also reminded us that Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow will be available for download on the 3DS eShop tomorrow. Whereas before, when these games were only available on the Nintendo Game Boy, you couldn't carry across your captured Pokémon to other titles, these new digital versions will be connected to the Pokémon Bank system: any Pokémon uploaded will be available in Sun and Moon.
Pokémon Sun and Moon will be available worldwide Holiday 2016.

So I can start with Pikachu, and take him through every single game? Yay!
Except - boo, Pokémon Bank costs...

I'll reserve judgement until more details are revealed!
Probably going to buy it anyway though...
