Ale & Tale Tavern Got a Major Update, and it Includes Adorable Owl Helpers!

Ale & Tale Tavern is a first-person simulator where you open up your own tavern, complete quests, explore the land, hunt, and cook! Whether you choose to do it alone or with friends is up to you. Learn more about it in our review for it here!

For those who already know it, let's talk about what the latest major update brings to the table. Starting off, players will now have owl helpers — adorable (and intelligent) creatures who will help with the chores around the tavern, such as cleaning, collecting dishes, taking orders, and even serving meals. This will be useful to solo players, as they won't get drowned and overwhelmed by the tasks! They can be activated by purchasing their owl houses (there are Cleaner and Waiter Owls to get).

The combat system has also seen a lot of improvement, such as:

• The enemy AI is smarter.
• New attack patterns for the Spiders.
• Orcs can now block and counter-attack.
• Boards, Wolves, and Bears all have new unblockable attacks as well as a jumping one.
• Animations have been changed to look and feel smoother.
• Orcs look better now, and their animations have been upgraded.

Players will also be happy to know that their taverns can be renamed now! And for those who enjoy farming, cleaning, and other chores, there are new and more powerful tools available, such as the bucket being able to carry more water inside of it. As for the garden beds and animal pens, players will have much more space for both!

There were more miscellaneous improvements, such as:

• Respawning is more affordable now.
• NPCs have better animations.
• A new potion will make players emit light, making it easier to explore at night.
