Advance to the Rhine, A New War Thunder Map in Cologne

War Thunder has released a sneak peek into the new map, 'Advance to the Rhine' centred around Cologne and the Rhine.

This map will likely make its entrance in the upcoming update. Chosen because of the famous tank battle in March 1945 as the Western Allied forces advanced towards Cologne along the Rhine, players will do battle against the bombed-out silhouette of the Cologne Cathedral with the Rhine River running alongside.

The map features multiple routes to the monument in the middle of the map through the ruins of Cologne, allowing for intense close-range battles on the fire-swept streets, giving players an exciting urban map environment. The air battle features ground troops fighting their way to cross the Rhine in a 64 x 64 km area, and pilots must give them support for that to happen.
