Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2024: The Darkest Files

Put your interrogation skills to use in the upcoming historical investigation game, The Darkest Files. Developed by Paintbucket Games, The Darkest Files is set after World War 2 has ended and you’ll play through the true story of Nazi hunter attorneys in the 1950s as young prosecutor Esther Katz. In it, you'll investigate files, interrogate witnesses and suspects, reconstruct the crime, and bring your evidence to the courtroom to get justice.

Paintbucket Games is working to make sure The Darkest Files offers many accessibility features, such as a customisable difficulty option, real-time subtitles, mouse-only gameplay, the ability to easily switch input devices, and control sensitivity sliders. Readability of font and text is also a priority, as players interact with several documents during their playthrough.
