Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2024: Fishbowl
Rhea Gupte, one of the two members of IMissMyFriendsStudio, has announced Fishbowl, the studio's debut game.
Fishbowl is a slice-of-life coming-of-age story that takes place over a month. It has no forced day/night cycles, where you can explore the protagonist, Alo's house. While there, Alo can talk to loved ones as she does her job as a junior video editor. As a video editor, you can match the icon to the track, and has no fail state. Rediscover childhood memories with puzzles, and Alo can explore all of these with your keyboard or mouse.
You can turn off screen shake, and there are visual and audio cues to respond to events, but there's no rush. The demo is out now, and with it, it has a content warning that discusses grief, the death of a loved one, loneliness, and isolation.
There is still more to be done, as Fishbowl is still in progress, but you can see how it is progressing with the current demo.
