A New Playable Race Has Been Revealed for Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail in the Trailer!

The Viera and Hrothgar races, introduced in the Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers expansion, were unique in that they were locked into a specific gender, female and male, respectively. This changed in the Endwalker expansion, as male Vieras were added, though the powerfully built leonine race of the Hrothgar stayed male only. With the upcoming expansion, Dawntrail, players may rejoice as the female Hrothgar were revealed in the Tokyo 2024 Fan Festival!

Though there are relatively few females within the race and may seem lithe, these women are built as powerfully as their male counterparts. What sets them apart, however, is their innate disposition toward leadership.

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is set to release in Spring of 2024.
